I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Kentucky. I have lived in Eastern Ky my entire life, and still do today.  I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020 from the University of the Cumberlands. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from Midway University.

I specialize in working with people from all walks of life and on all different journeys. I like to provide a holistic approach to my work and consider the person’s needs from a “whole person” perspective. Our lives and health encompass much more than one part.  I provide teletherapy services to anyone living in the state of Kentucky. I think this is a great way for anyone who struggles with finding the time to drive/walk to a brick-and-mortar building. This is also a great option for those who seek the comfort of their own homes when receiving therapy. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. I am a huge advocate and ally for the LGBTQA+ community and love working with this population.

My background includes working with Non-Profits and Quasi-State Government. I’ve worked in Public Health and with high-risk populations since 2014. I have a strong desire to work in this profession and truly love helping my clients navigate this “sometimes rocky” life. I want my clients to know that I am a safe space for them and I want them to always feel complete ease with me.  I like to incorporate many different types of therapy into my sessions. Our needs are different and so should our therapy sessions. Some common practices I will use will be Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gottman Method, and Solution Focused Therapy. I hope to create a safe and promising space for all of my clients.

In my personal life, I love spending time with my husband, children, and animals. We are avid water lovers and spend as many warm days as possible on the lake. We enjoy taking our boat out to fish or just relax. We also spend a lot of time traveling and seeing new places. I am also a crafter and spend my free time creating new things!

Kathy provides teletherapy on Monday and Wednesdays from 2pm-6pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm.
