I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kentucky. I grew up in Ohio, and after receiving my undergraduate degree at Miami University of Ohio, I moved to Florida. I attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida for my graduate studies, receiving a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, and couples. I provide in-person sessions as well as teletherapy (for teens and adults). The issues I specialize in include anxiety, depression, life transitions, career, relationship issues, and trauma/PTSD.
When working with children, I utilize Play Therapy, Expressive therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in letting your child express themselves so they can heal from anxiety, depression, or trauma. I will create a safe space for them to learn to share their inner most thoughts and feelings. I often work with parents alongside their children so they can journey with us and learn helpful parenting techniques.
When working with adults, I help those who are feeling alone, sad, or struggling to find their “people.” I specialize in working with young adults as well as women and women’s issues. I also have a passion for working with those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Do you feel overwhelmed by all the demands life puts on you? Are you looking for a way back to your true self? If you are ready to figure out what’s holding you back from the life you want, I can lead you on a journey to discover your true self and find your unique purpose. I can be your guide as you go through life’s challenging transitions.
If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to call or send me an email. I know how difficult it is to find a therapist you can connect with, but I hope you’ll try. Regardless of what you need, you don’t have to go through it alone.
